CURRENT PROGRESS

  • CBD COP15 NGO Parallel Forum In 2021, as one of the undertakers of the CBD COP15 NGO Parallel Forum, GEI supported and assisted EASACCN members to participate in the NGO Parallel Forum.
  • 100+ Biodiversity Positive Practices and Actions Meanwhile, the project cases of seven EASACCN member institutions, including GEI, were selected into the 100+ Biodiversity Positive Practices and Actions around the World selected Highlights.
  • Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) "Action Agenda" EASACCN supported seven member institutions as non-state actors to commit to making intended contributions to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) "Action Agenda" and design the area of community protected areas, endangered species, and the number and scale of projects to be launched from different directions.
  • Training workshops In 2021, EASACCN also held two platform training workshops to share the experience of developing the CCCA model in China.
We will provide support to IPLCs to build capacity to participate in legal, policy, and decision￾making processes, and to integrate diverse knowledge systems to achieve conservation and sustainable natural resource management outcomes. IPLCs will also be given opportunities to participate in high-level global events on existing global policy platforms (IPBES, IUCN, etc.) and United Nations conventions (UNFCCC, CBD) to demonstrate their contribution to safeguarding planet Earth.

Bang Pakong mangrove youth camp

The objectives of the project “Bang Pakong Mangrove Youth Camp (BPMYC)” were to hold an environmental education youth camp for children in Tambon Tha Kham to give participants a better understanding of the mangrove and riverine ecosystems of their district.
